Yin Yoga/Yoga Nidra Practice

Where: Santa Monica Yoga, 1640 Ocean Park Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90405
When: Fridays, August 2nd, 9th, 16th, & 23rd - 8:15pm - 9:45pm
Cost: $30 per workshop, $100 for all 4

In this series, Bunok will guide you through a Chakra specific Yin Yoga practice each week, followed by a guided Savasana that will ultimately lead you into a state of Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep. In this state, the mind goes beyond deep sleep to a place of complete relaxation while remaining aware. Yoga Nidra is a powerful experience that calms the nervous system, opens one up to more clarity, and the possibility of profound healing.

We will focus on the following Chakras/Areas of the Body each week:

August 2nd - Root Chakra and Sacral Chakras - Hips to Feet
August 9th - Sacral Chakra and Solar Plexus - Hips & Abdomen
August 16th - Solar Plexus and Heart Center - Abdomen & Upper Torso
August 23rd - Heart Center and Higher- Upper Torso & Neck

There is plenty of street parking in front of the studio on Friday evenings. 

Things you may need:

  • Water!

  • If you have your own yoga mat, bring that along, otherwise, there are plenty at the studio.

  • A warm blanket (the body will cool down considerably during Yoga Nidra)

  • A low pillow for under the head

  • An eye mask or pillow if you choose to use one
